David Rash and Matthew Moore are going to trial in the tragic death of Andrea Nieves, due to the negligence of a treating doctor at West Kendall Urgent Care Center.
Andrea presented to the facility after suffering her first seizure in fifteen years, which the doctor ignored and failed to treat. Instead, the doctor treated her for diarrhea and discharged her, even though Andrea was by that time complaining of heart palpitations.
In the parking lot of the facility, Andrea suffered another seizure which led to her death.
Andrea, a single mother, left behind a teenage daughter who has, naturally, been devastated by the loss.
