Firm Recovers Damages for Bus Crash Victims
Eleven passengers of a bus that was traveling through Florida became the victims of a horrific crash that left all involved seriously injured. At approximately 3:30 a.m. the bus, which was traveling east on SR 80 near exit 111, overturned and came to rest on its left side in the median strip. It was found that the defendant driver, an employee of Okay Bus Travel Co., lost control while attempting to make a left turn. The defendant was found negligent and forced to pay more than $1.8 million worth of damages to compensate for the plaintiffs’ numerous and permanent injuries such as severe brain damage, spinal, facial and other serious fractures, and mental health issues such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, memory loss, anxiety and personality change.
