Firm Represents 76 Yr. Old Woman After Tractor Trailer Accident Leaves Her Brain Damaged
Jury Verdict: $11.2 Million
A 76-year-old woman who became severely brain damaged after a speeding truck made a negligent turn and collided with her vehicle, was awarded damages to the tune of $11.2 million. As a result of her brain damage, the plaintiff lost her ability to speak, walk or use her arms, but the jury accepted that despite this, she was fully aware of her plight and a prisoner in her own body. The jury found the truck driver 100% negligent, and damages were awarded to her for past and future pain and suffering and past and future medical expenses, and to her husband for past and future loss of services.
Firm Secures Compensation for Man’s Leg Amputation from Car Accident
Jury Verdict: $5.4 Million
A 44-year-old delivery man who was the victim of a traumatic motor vehicle accident was awarded settlement monies over $5.4 million to compensate for his injuries. The man was riding his bicycle through Midtown when he was hit by a truck, which collided with his right leg. He was transported to hospital by ambulance, where his injuries were surgically treated with above the knee amputation and skin grafting. He remained in hospital for a period of two months and is permanently disabled as a result of the accident.
Firm Wins Settlement for Horrific Bus Crash Victims
Settlement: $3 Million
6 passengers, including a middle school student, were traveling along Interstate 85 in North Carolina when their bus driver fell asleep at the wheel, steering them into another vehicle and seriously maiming all on board. As a result of the Defendant's negligent driving and their resulting injuries, our lawyers managed to obtain a settlement amount of $3 million to compensate for ongoing medical expenses and loss of earnings. The Plaintiffs' injuries included brain damage, muscle and nerve damage resulting from deep facial lacerations, spine, rib and ankle fractures, and bone marrow edema among dozens of other injuries, with one victim being placed in a full body cast.

The boy, who was a passenger at the time of the crash, suffered a range of injuries including numerous facial lacerations and permanent scarring, lost and damaged teeth, memory loss, and serious damage to bones, muscles, joint, ligaments, nerves and other tissues.

Settlement: $2.2775 Million
7 passengers on a bus that was traveling from New York through South Carolina were awarded more than $2.2 million in damages when their bus driver veered the bus onto the wrong side of the road and collided with another vehicle. The passengers, who had hired the bus through Tony Bus Express Line, Inc., were seriously injured in the accident, which occurred on U.S. 13 at approximately 7:00 a.m. Their injuries included lacerations, nerve and ligament damage, spinal, pelvic and other severe fractures, concussion, blood loss, post-traumatic stress disorder, surgical scarring, depression and anxiety.
Firm Wins Settlement Against Negligent MTA Bus
Settlement: $1.5 Million
New York City Transit Authority was forced to pay $1.5 million in compensation after one of their buses hit a Brooklyn woman who was crossing a crosswalk with a green light. The woman, who was 41 years old at the time of the accident, was walking across the street at approximately 8pm when the MTA bus made a negligent right hand turn and struck her. The woman suffered severe injuries to her entire body, including spinal injuries and head trauma, leading to brain damage. Her husband was also a party to the action, claiming lost society, services and consortium of his wife, with both plaintiffs claiming for lost earnings as a result of the accident.
