Erica R. Sheinart received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1991. While attending Brooklyn Law School, Ms. Sheinart was a law clerk in a highly rated New York City insurance defense firm, with a practice focused on cases involving trucking and vehicular claims, construction claims, product liability and premises liability. At this firm, she researched and prepared memorandum of law relevant to pending cases.
After graduating from Brooklyn Law School, Ms. Sheinart decided to work on behalf of injured victims. For 20 years, Ms. Sheinart has worked in practices focused on plaintiff's personal injury cases involving automobile accidents, premises liability, municipal liability, medical malpractice, product liability and labor law. Ms. Sheinart has worked for such notables in the field of personal injury and victims' rights as Sanford Rubenstein, Esq. (counsel for police brutality victim Abner Louima) and for members of The Johnnie Cochran Firm. During her career, she has handled a wide range of personal injury cases, such as breast implant litigation against Dow Corning, and product liability claims involving defective tires against the Bridgestone/Firestone Tire Company.
Ms. Sheinart's work is in Morelli Ratner's personal injury practice. She is responsible for all aspects of case management, from initial client interview, pleadings and motions to trial preparation and settlement negotiation.
Ms. Sheinart lives in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn and graduated from Stuyvesant High School in New York City. She received her B.A. in Philosophy from S.U.N.Y. Binghamton in 1988.
