Arthur L. Salmon, III
Arthur L. Salmon has been a practicing trial lawyer for over twenty-five years. During that time, he has litigated as a prosecutor with the Kings County District Attorney office and as a defense counsel on behalf of national insurance companies and their clients. Currently, he represents plaintiffs who have been injured by pharmaceuticals, environmental toxins, medical malpractice, construction defects, excessive use of police force and the negligence of property owners.
Since joining Morelli Ratner PC, in 2001, Mr. Salmon has obtained numerous multi-million-dollar verdicts for the firm’s clients. From 2002 -2006 he obtained jury verdicts and settlements during trial in excess of $35 million. In 2007, he received a $70 million medical malpractice jury award which was reported as the second largest malpractice verdict in the country that year. In 2009, he was part of the trial team that secured a $22.5 million verdict for a father who contracted polio, via contact with his vaccinated daughter. This verdict was the largest verdict against a vaccine manufacturer in U.S. history.
Mr. Salmon currently sits on the Board of Directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the National Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Mr. Salmon is a graduate of Syracuse University’s College of Law (J.D. 1981) and Brooklyn College (BA 1978) and is licensed to practice in the State of New York and The Eastern and Southern Districts of New York’s Federal Courts.
